Wassererlebniswelt Moschendorf
The water adventure world in Moschendorf is the perfect destination for the whole family. Just an eight minute drive from our holiday homes, you will find action, fun and a great atmosphere for all ages. Here you can feel good, let off steam and rejuvenate. Holders of the Burgenland Card even get in for free.
Paradiesroute Südburgenland
The beautiful countryside of southern Burgenland stretches for some 260 kilometres along the borders of Hungary and Slovenia and through three nature parks. There are many highlights along the way, including the Moschendorf Wine Museum, Schlaining Castle, the Heiligenbrunn Wine Quarter and Güssing Castle.
Burg Güssing
In less than 10 minutes by car you can reach the medieval castle of Güssing. The oldest castle in Burgenland, it sits on an extinct volcanic cone. You can walk up or take the lift. The view from the castle is well worth the effort. Inside, there are exhibitions and works of art spanning more than 400 years.
Badesee Rauchwart
To the north, about 20 minutes by car, is Rauchwart swimming and surfing lake. Its gently sloping shore makes it easy to get in at any point. There is a playground, a designated children’s area in the lake, mini golf, table tennis, a fun court, pedal boat hire and, if you are hungry, a lakeside restaurant.
Naturbadesee Königsdorf
This lake is the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer’s day, just a 30-minute drive from Strem. Unspoilt nature and clean water ensure fun and relaxation. Additional entertainment includes two beach volleyball courts, table tennis, an adventure playground, water excursions with pedal boats or stand-up paddle boards and the lakeside buffet.
Erlebnisfreibad Güssing
Just a 10-minute drive away is the Güssing Erlebnisbad, an adventure pool, which offers water fun for the whole family with water slides, a non-swimmer’s area, a sports pool, a children’s pool, a beach volleyball court and a cafeteria. There is also a large sunbathing area with views of Güssing Castle.
Weinmuseum Moschendorf
For wine lovers, a short walk or drive to neighbouring Moschendorf is well worth the effort. Moschendorf has an open-air museum with tools and farming equipment from past centuries, as well as a wine shop that sells South Burgenland wines and provides an insight into the importance of wine to the region.
Buschenschänke
In the surrounding area there are wonderful wine taverns where you can enjoy a hearty snack with regional products such as cheese, meat and vegetables and freshly baked bread. Of course, a delicious South Burgenland wine is a must to enjoy the cosy hours together with family and friends.
